Two female inmates in the Warren County Jail await arraignment today after starting a fire in the jail on Tuesday.

At 1 p.m., Jessica Pope, 24, no address given, and Marissa Ann Morehead-Greco, 24, who lives on Greenhill Drive, were arrested and charged with arson after the two set some clothing in their cell on fire, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

Pace said the women started the fire because they were upset about losing their visitation privileges.

Pace said about 16 female inmates were moved to holding cells while other inmates put out the fire.

Pope was arrested in March and charged with auto burglary and credit card fraud.

Morehead-Greco was arrested in April and charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute in a correction facility after trying to sell the drug to another inmate, Pace said.
