Reader wishes to thank strangers for help

For the last 28 years, Vicksburg has been my family’s home. Over those years, we have come to recognize what a beautiful town this is, filled with caring citizens, and we are very glad to have raised our four kids here. It has been on many occasions that we have experienced the friendliness and care of the residents of Warren County. Most recently, three strangers helped to save the day! While mowing the backyard, our riding lawn mower got stuck in a small ditch in the ground. My husband and I tried our best to pull it out, but were unable to do so. A truck passed by our house, and my husband waved and asked the passengers if they could help. A gentleman and a lady with their son came out very graciously and helped us pull the mower out. We don’t even know their names, but we would like to say thank you very much. We are very grateful for the help of these good Samaritans.
