Woman held for shoplifting

A Vicksburg woman accused of stealing an assortment of items from Walmart was held without bail this morning.

Cierra Flowers, 24, 1205 China St., was arrested at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart, 2150 Iowa Blvd., and charged with felony shoplifting, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

She is accused of stealing more than $500 in assorted items from the store, Williams said.

Flowers was held without bail this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting her initial court appearance.

 

TV missing after burglary

A television and other items were missing this morning following a burglary Wednesday in Vicksburg.

At 2:45 p.m., an Emerson 32-inch television valued at $150, a toy Jeep valued at $125 and kitchen bowls valued at $17 were reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of Locust Street, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
