M-Braves fall to Biscuits a second time

For the second straight night the Mississippi Braves’ pitching staff turned in an outstanding performance only to have the team come up on the wrong end of the score.

Three M-Braves pitchers allowed just two hits and one walk, but a passed ball, wild pitch and two errors led to a pair of early runs that allowed Montgomery to steal a 3-1 win Saturday night.

The M-Braves have lost the first two games of the series despite outhitting the Biscuits 14-6.

Mississippi’s miscues led to two unearned runs in the second inning, then Jake Hager and Luke Maile hit back-to-back doubles in the third to put Montgomery ahead 3-0. Those were the Biscuits’ only hits.
