Schools reschedule events

This week’s inclement weather brought some free days for students, but testing, the district science fair and most other events have now been rescheduled.

Friday’s GATES chess tournament will go on as planned at the Beechwood Elementary gymnasium from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and so will Vicksburg Catholic School’s Friday Reading from Coast to Coast event.

Vicksburg Junior High has rescheduled their Case 21 testing to begin Friday, Feb. 26 and continue through Thursday, March 5. Make-up testing is scheduled for March 6.

Monday, March 2, Bowmar Elementary will host their annual Storybook Parade at 8:15 a.m., and Redwood Elementary second-graders will perform their school play “It’s a Jungle Out There” at 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Warren Central Intermediate School has cancelled their black history month program.

Warren Central High School will host a reception to honor its National Honor Society inductees at a later date.

The district science fair and South Park’s sixth grade black history program will both be rescheduled for some time next week.
