John Banchetti

DALLAS — John Banchetti went to his eternal reward March 27, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born to Valentine Oliver Banchetti and Victoria Evelyn Cingolani Banchetti in Lake Village, Ark. Feb. 26, 1937.

His formative years were lived in Vicksburg. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School and Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jean Marie Timm Banchetti.

He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Tony) Grantham and Cynthia (Kevin) Tull; his son, Mark (Angie) Banchetti; grandchildren, Chelsea and Candice Grantham, J. Garrett and Reagan Tull and Taylor and Chloé Banchetti; one sister, Agnes Banchetti (Billy) Howell of Tequesta, Fla.; and one brother, Paul Banchetti (Linda) of Vicksburg.

John and Jean lived in Dallas and retired to Richland Chambers Lake in Corsicana, Texas. He retired as a systems engineer manager from Lockheed-Martin after 43 years of service. John belonged to the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, and his hobby was restoring and repairing clocks. He instrumentally served in many organizations and associations.

Visitation is at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Dallas today from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 6 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at North Chapel of Calvary Hill Mausoleum Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. under the direction of Calvary Hill Funeral Home.
