Creel’s RBI double highlighted a three-run first inning that sent the Arrows on their way. Brandon Williams had an RBI single in the third inning to make it 4-0, then the Arrows struck for three runs in the fourth and five in the fifth to win by the mercy rule.

Vicksburg (6-12) drew six walks from Posey, but its only hit was a second-inning single by Justin Jones.

The Gators had at least one runner on in every inning. They loaded the bases with one out in the third, but Posey got a strikeout and a fly out to end the threat.

The Gators will have two chances today to get back in the win column. They host Ridgeland at noon, then Warren Central at 4 p.m.
