The St. Aloysius Lady Flashes plowed ahead on their road to the Class 1A state meet with another dominating performance.

Alyssa Engel won three individual events. Madelyn Polk won two, and the Lady Flashes captured the team championship at the Region 4-1A meet Saturday at Madison Central.

“I think we only lost four people out of all the events, so I’m pretty confident heading into South State,” St. Al coach Keiko Booth said.

Engel won in the long jump, triple jump and 200 meters, and joined Grace Burnett, Alyssa Counts and Dede Apenyo on the winning 4×400 meter relay team.

Polk was victorious in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters.

Other winners for the Lady Flashes were Olivia Curtis (high jump), Maggie Waites (pole vault) and Mary Kalusche (100 meter hurdles).

The Class 1A South State meet is May 2 at 10 a.m. at Madison Central.
