Crash victim in fair condition

A Warren County man injured in a head-on collision Friday on Oak Ridge Road that killed two brothers was in fair condition Saturday at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, a hospital spokesman said.

Joseph White, 31, whose address was given as Oak Ridge Road, was injured when his southbound 2012 GMC Sierra pickup and a northbound 1985 GMC van collided in the 2300 block of Oak Ridge Road south of its intersection with Henry Road, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said. The accident occurred about 6 p.m.

Warren County Corner Doug Huskey said William Harvey Raney, 56, 320 Murray Road, and John Harold Raney, 42, 386 Murray Road, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Pace said White was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center and later transferred to UMC.

He said firefighters from the Vicksburg Fire Department and Culkin Volunteer Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to cut all three men out of their vehicles. The accident remains under investigation.
