Clear Creek Ladies report

On Wednesday, Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association members met for match play. Linda McHann took top honors. Joyce Johnson and Laura Lee finished second and third, respectively.

McHann logged in the lowest number of putts, while Lee made the only chip-in of the day.

Tryouts for the Cannon Soccer Club will be held June 4 at 6:30 p.m., and June 6 at 10 a.m. at the Vicksburg Soccer Organization complex in Bovina.

Cannon Soccer Club is the competitive arm of the VSO. The tryouts are for boys and girls ages 10-18. To register online, or for more information, visit vsosoccer.org.

Play 2 Wynn basketball camp

Former Vicksburg High star Donna Brown-Wynn will host her 13th annual annual Play 2 Wynn basketball camp June 1-5 at Vicksburg High School. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day, and is for boys and girls ages 6-17. The cost is $75 per person. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Brown-Wynn is a former VHS and Mississippi State star who went on to coach at Mississippi State, Belmont University and Tennessee State.

M-Braves baseball camp

The Mississippi Braves Baseball Camp is scheduled for July 23-25 at Trustmark Park in Pearl. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, and is open to boys and girls ages 5-14. It will feature instruction by the Mississippi Braves players and staff, and each participant will receive an M-Braves cap and merchandize, lunch and beverages each day, a certificate of achievement, two tickets to the M-Braves games on July 23, 24 and 25, and an autograph session and on-field recognition prior to the game on July 25.

The cost of the camp is $150 per child.

Hinds CC football camps

The Hinds Community College football program will host a 7-on-7 camp, as well as a camp for offensive and defensive linemen on the Raymond campus in June.

The linemen camp runs from June 22-24. Registration begins at noon on June 22. The cost of the camp is $150 for those registered by June 1, or $175 after that date.

The 7-on-7 camp is a one-day session on June 25, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The cost of the camp is $200 for a team of 20 players, plus $25 for each additional player.

All players must have a current physical form and a signed waiver.
