John Dillon, 82, of Vicksburg, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

An Army veteran who worked at a steel mill, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Bob) Dillon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a friend of 10 years, Mary Cummings; three step-grand children, Doris (Randy) Rippy, Harvey (Sandy) Mathes, Tommy (Sarah) Mathes; six step-grandchildren, Amber (Karl) Haslauer, Brittany (Daniel) Eawes, Pat Scallion, Harry Mathes, Robbie Mathes, Emmy Mathes; and one step-great-grandson, Karl Jr.

Memorial service will be Friday, June 12, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating.

Hubert Jeff Horn

PORT GIBSON — Hubert Jeff Horn died Sunday, May 31, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was 70.

Survivors include his wife, Chante Horn of Houston, Texas; five sons, Hubert Horn of San Antonio, Hubert Gaines of Fayette, Jeffery Lewis of Conroe, Texas, and Isiah K. Buck and Malcolm O. Buck, both of Pattison; three daughters, Jackie Noble Smith of Houston, Texas, Juanita Volley of Houston, Texas, and Tamika Horn of San Antonio; two aunts; 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Buck officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jefferson County.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, Saturday from 1p.m. until the service.
