Kathryn Roussel Dupuy

ROME, Ga. — Kathryn Roussel Dupuy, 89, of Rome died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, after a long illness.

She was born in Memphis, Tenn., in 1925 to George Albert and Kathryn Ryan Roussel.

She was a chemistry teacher at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg where she lived for 52 years.

She moved to Rome in 2002 and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James A. Dupuy; three daughters, Kathryn Russell of Bartlett, Texas, Mary Millard of Minneapolis and Jamie Safigan of Rome;  six grandchildren: Anna, Molly, Andrew, Caleb, Ingrid and Davin; three great-grandchildren: Eva, Lily and Cara; one sister, Polly Raymond of Laurel, Md. and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Dupuy of Natchitoches, La.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Daniel’s Funeral Home, 901 E. 2nd Ave, Rome.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School, 401 E. 7th St., Rome, GA 30161.
