George Michael Wigley Sr.

George Michael Wigley Sr., age 66, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Wigley was born in Yazoo County and had lived in Vicksburg for many years.

He served in the U.S. Army and worked for YRC as a truck driver. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, George M. Wigley, and a daughter, Joann Strickland.

He is survived by his wife, Vera L. Wigley of Vicksburg; two sons, Michael Wigley (Monica) of Sebring, Fla., and Joe Graham Jr. (Selena) of Vicksburg; one daughter, Kimberly Saxton (Jesse) of Yazoo City; mother, Bertha Wells of Clinton; one brother, Douglas Wigley of Vicksburg; a sister, Opal Ainsworth of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Alison Hall, Christian Mosley, Shana Strickland, Joshua Saxton, Caitlyn Graham, Chase Graham and Sara Wigley; and one great-granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Mosley.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home with services 10 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 5, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Nettles officiating.
