William Hamilton Havis

William Hamilton Havis died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 63.

Mr. Havis was the son of the late Hamilton Henderson and Maude Cleo Havis of Vicksburg.  He was a graduate of H.V. Cooper High School in 1970 and a graduate of Mississippi State University.

He was a retired employee of the State of Mississippi in Madison County. Mr. Havis was a member of St. Matthews Methodist Church of Madison.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Havis of Vicksburg; two sons, Justin Havis (Jennifer) of Charlotte, N.C., and Wade Havis of Vicksburg; one grandson, William Hamilton Havis.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, and Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Russ Fraiser, John “Butch” George, Case Irwin, Walter Mattingly, Bill Stark and George Cain Jr.
