Cash, tools stolen from businesses

Cash and tools were missing following to business burglaries reported Tuesday in Vicksburg.

At 7 a.m., a cash box containing a an undisclosed amount of cash and checks was reported stolen from Fastenal, 3505 Manor Drive, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

About 40 minutes later, assorted tools valued at $1,500 were reported missing from Cappaert Manufactured Housing, 6200 U.S. 61 South, Williams said.

Entry was forced into both businesses, Williams said.

The burglary at Cappaert is the second in two weeks. On Aug. 23, 300 feet of wire was reported stolen from the business.

 

TVs missing in county

Two televisions were missing following a burglary reported Tuesday afternoon in Warren County.

At 3:01 p.m., a 19-inch television valued at $150 and a 24-inch television valued at $250 were reported missing from a home in the 2300 block of Grange Hall Road, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.
