D’IBERVILLE — Robert Cage Jr. died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, He was 63.

Mr. Cage was born April 30, 1952, to the late Alice and Robert Cage Sr.

He became a member of New Mount Pilgrim Church at the age of 11, and was an honorary elder/member of Greater Grove Street M.B. Church Vicksburg.

He was a 1970 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School, where he graduated with honors, and was a member of the Cavalier Club and the Dramatic Club. He attended Hinds Junior College in Raymond and graduated from William Carey College Hattiesburg with a major in business administration. He was a retired chief petty officer in the U. S. Navy and a member of the Blue Angles. He was also retired from Stennis Space Center in Bay St. Louis and a mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Elzie Cage and Robert Cage Sr., and a brother, Wade Peterson.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Cage; daughter, Tiona Cage; three brothers, Earnest M. Cage, Demond and Dewand Cage, all of Vicksburg; six sisters, Mable Jennings, Rosie Cage and Jennifer Kelly of Vicksburg, Beverly Aikerson of Lorman, Robbie Davis of Oxford and Ida Torry of Fort Worth, Texas; nieces nephews, cousins and friends including the Elzie and Peaches families.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in D’Iberville under the direction of Dickey Brothers Memorial Funeral Home, Biloxi.

Viewing is Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service.
