Three charged with burglary

A Vicksburg man, a Warren County man and one juvenile accused of burglary were arrested Saturday.

Eric Washington, 18, 214 Greenview Drive, and Demarcus Qualls, 18, 163 Kid Lane, were arrested at 1 a.m. Saturday near Oak and Rigby streets and charged with burglary, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said. The juvenile may be later charged as an adult, Williams said.

A patrol officer saw the vehicle the three individuals were in and pulled them over on a routine stop, Williams said. Property from recent home burglaries in the area they were stopped was found in the vehicle, Williams said.

One arrested for attempted assault 

A Vicksburg man accused of threatening his brother with a weapon was arrested Sunday.

Percy Smith, 53, 714 Cherry St., was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Sunday and charged with weapon possession by a felon and attempted aggravated assault, Williams said.

Smith got into a fight with his brother and threatened to kill him before firing a shot from a shotgun, Williams said. There were no injuries, Williams said.

 

Two arrested with stolen property

A Jackson man and a Vaiden woman accused of having stolen property were arrested Friday.

Walter Moore, 54, 4224 Kings Road, Jackson, and Robin Landrum, 37, 2348 Attala Road, Vaiden, were arrested at 2:30 p.m. Friday on the 3000 block of Indiana Ave. and charged with receiving stolen property, Williams said.

 

Auto burglary reported

Money was missing Monday following a burglary reported in Vicksburg.

At 2 a.m. Monday, a purse with money inside was reported stolen by forced entry into a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu on the 1500 block of Warrenton Road, Williams said.

 

One released after weekend sanction 

A Vicksburg man was released back to drug court Sunday.

Ethan Frazier, 22, 5210 Highway 61 South Lot 14, was held in Warren County Jail Friday for a 48-hour drug court sanction, according to Warren County jail records.

 

One released after 48-hour sanction

A Hollandale man was released back to drug court Sunday.

Robert Johnson, 26, 1017 Sanders St., Hollandale, was held in Warren County Jail Friday for a 48-hour drug court sanction, according to Warren County jail records.

 

One released after 24-hour sanction

A Vicksburg man was released back to drug court Monday.

Michael Kemp, 34, 1429 Weems St., was held in Warren County Jail Sunday for a 24-hour drug court sanction, according to Warren County jail records.
