Wreck causes minor injuries

A Vicksburg man was treated for a sprained ankle Thursday following a wreck just after 5 p.m. Thursday near the corner of Hayes and Clay streets.

Nathan Soderberg, 28, was injured when his westbound 2013 Honda scooter was hit as an eastbound 1995 Cadillac driven by Jason Short, 20, attempted to turn into County Market, 2101 Clay St., Deputy Chief Bobby Stewart said.

“No citations were issued,” Stewart said.

Soderberg was taken to the Emergency Room at Merit Health River Region Medical Center and was treated for minor injuries and a sprained ankle, Stewart said.
