A Vicksburg man arrested in an April Vicksburg police drug roundup has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Larry Turner, 55, pleaded guilty in Warren County Circuit Court to sale of a controlled substance. Circuit Judge M. James Chaney sentenced him to 12 years with four suspended and placed Turner on four years post-release supervision after his release.

Turner was one of 10 people arrested the first day of the drug roundup called “Operation Spring Forward,” a joint operation between Vicksburg police, U.S. Marshal Service, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Findley told the court she has an ongoing drug problem and requested help.

She was ordered to complete a 90-day treatment program at Home of Grace in Mobile, Ala., followed by secondary treatment at Beautiful Deliverance in Vicksburg for at least 90 days.

If she leaves either facility without authorization, MDOC probation and parole officials must be notified immediately.

She is excused from reporting to her probation officer while she is at Home of Grace, and will resume reporting when she either completes the program or withdraws from it.

• Franklin Bailey’s post release supervision was revoked for failing to report to his probation officer for 26 months and failing to pay a total of $3,424.50 in court-ordered fines and fees.

He was sentenced to serve 90 days in an MDOC Technical Violation Center.

• Danny Lee Yate’s post-released supervision was revoked for failing to complete the chemical dependency treatment program at River City Rescue Mission and failing to pay fines and court-ordered fees totaling $1,884.50.

• Chaney partially revoked the probation of Victor Ralph Hilderbrand for failing to pay court-ordered fines, fees and costs totaling $1,302.50.

He was ordered to pay off the balance due at a rate of at least $100 per month.

• Chaney revoked the supervised probation for Quentin Lamar Taylor, 25, for violating the terms of the probation and sentenced him to one year in the MDOC’s Intensive Supervision Program.

In another case, Taylor was sentenced to 10 years with 10 suspended upon completion of 60 months supervised probation after pleading guilty in Circuit Court to burglary of a dwelling.

The sentence runs consecutive with his sentence for probation violation.

• Quintin Smith was sentenced to five years in prison with four months to serve (time already served) and the remainder suspended after completing 48 months supervised probation and pay fines of $884.50 after pleading guilty in circuit court to larceny of a motor vehicle.

Smith received the same sentence after pleading to a charge of eluding law enforcement. The sentence will run concurrent with the sentence for larceny.

• Chaney revoked orders suspending the sentence for Charlene Bingham for violating the terms of her probation and ordered her to an MDOC restitution center until she pays off court-ordered fines and fees totaling $7,081.38.

• Amy Bradshaw was sentenced to 10 years in prison with five suspended following completion of a 60-month post release supervision and ordered to attend the MDOC’s long-term alcohol and drug program for violating the terms and conditions of county drug court.
