Drugs, gun found in traffic stop

A Vicksburg man faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a felon after his arrest Wednesday during a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Washington Street by office Donnie Heggins.
Kevin Wilson, 34, 2609 Grant St., was arrested after Heggins found following a traffic stop at 3990 Washington Street by officer Donnie Heggins. He was arrested after Heggins recovered about .16 ounces of methamphetamine and a .380-caliber pistol.
Wilson is being held without bail in the Issaquena County Corrections Facility pending an initial appearance in Municipal Court.
In other cases:
4 Eric Ross, 44, of Vicksburg is charged with five counts of burglary of a business involving break-ins at businesses on Washington Street, investigator Curtis Judge said.
He said the charges involve a series of business burglaries that occurred between December and February in which TVs valued between $600 and $1,000 were reported stolen.
He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
4 Willie Jones Jr., 19, of Rolling Fork was arrested Wednesday on a charge of child abuse involving a child less than 14 years old. He was released on $50,000 bond.
