A woman told police about 7:29 a.m. Monday she was sexually assaulted in the 3100 block of Washington Street, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

The woman came to the police department to file the complaint, adding she knew her assailant.

No arrest has been made.

In other cases reported Monday:

• Shots were reported fired about 11:19 p.m. in the 4400 Block of Halls Ferry Road.

• Shoplifting was reported about 11:37 in the 3400 Block of Halls Ferry Road.

• Shoplifting was reported about 4:23 p.m. in the 3500 Block of Pemberton Square Boulevard.

• Unlawful Use of Telephone was reported about 4:33 p.m. in the 1100 Block of North Frontage Road.

• Disorderly Conduct and an open container violation was reported about 1:01 a.m. at First East Street near Locust Street.

The following arrests were made between Friday and Monday:

• A warrant was served to James Carl Friley about 12:22 a.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 61 South and Belva Drive.

• Ricky Marvin Howard was arrested about 12:22 a.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 61 and Belva Drive on a charge of having an open container of alcohol.

• Veronica Lynn Beard was arrested about 12:08 a.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 61 South and Warrenton Road on charges of first-offense DUI and careless driving.

• Latoria Deeshay Thompson was arrested about 8:20 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Rifle Range Road and Warrenton Road on a charge of speeding — driving 21 mph under the posted speed limit.

• Shameka Pernell Brown was arrested about 8:20 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Rifle Range Road and Warrenton Road on charge of speeding — driving 21 mph under the posted speed limit.

• Bernice James was arrested about 9:31 a.m. at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Jasmine Jachelle Hicks was arrested about noon Monday on Halls Ferry Road on a charge ofr first-offense shoplifting less than $50.

• Brian Devell Davis was arrested about 2:37 p.m. Monday at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Ronald Eugene Franklin was arrested about 3 p.m. Monday at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Asia Kelontai Russell was arrested about 11:44 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on a charge of first-offense DUI, reckless driving, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

• Michael Roy Mason was arrested about 3:31 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of U.S. 61 North on a charge of first-offense DUI and careless driving.

• Sandra Ladell Frisby was arrested about 12:22 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Warrenton Road on a charge of trespassing.

• Louis Montrell Lero Flowers was arrested about 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Hope Street on a charge of simple assault with hands and fist.

• Cierra Patrice Flowers was arrested about 6:15 p.m. Saturday at the Vicksburg Police Station on charges of simple assault with hands and fist and resisting arrest.

• A warrant was served on Charles Mack Taylor about 1:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Military Avenue.

• Ester James Rivers was arrested about 2:04 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Warrenton Road on a charge of first-offense DUI.

• Johnnie B. Tolliver, was arrested about 11:37 p.m. Friday on North Washington Street on a charge of contempt of court — failure to report for community service.

• Robert Taft Nesmith was arrested about 11:27 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Ford Street and East Avenue on charges of possess of less than an ounce of marijuana and having an open container of alcohol.

• Marquis Leshun Bland was arrested about 11:18 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and South Frontage Road on a charge of contempt of court.

• A warrant was served on James Drewery Lambert about 10:54 p.m. Friday in the 6000 block of U.S. 61 South.

• Mallory Janel Nelson was arrested about 9:29 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Commons Circle on seven counts of contempt of court.

• Robert Earl Coleman was arrested about 2:35 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Belmont and Drummond streets on a charge of false report of a crime.

• Michael James Bailey was arrested about 12:31 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of Victory Avenue on a charge of simple assault creating fear.

• Ronnie Purnell was arrested about 11:02 p.m. at the Vicksburg Police Station on charges of trespassing and harassing phone calls — indecent.

• Kameron Earl Reed was arrested about 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of simple assault — creating fear.
