Local man to serve two years in prison for possession of controlled substance

A Vicksburg man will serve two years in prison after pleading guilty in Warren County Circuit Court to possession of a controlled substance.

Circuit Judge M. James Chaney sentenced Maverick Wigley, 27, no address listed, to eight years with two years to serve followed by five years’ post-release supervision. He ordered Wigley to attend the Mississippi Department of Corrections short-term alcohol and drug abuse treatment program.

Wigley was also ordered to pay fines, fees and court costs totaling $1,884.50.

In other cases:

• Michael Landfair, 26, no address given, was placed in the 9th Circuit Judicial District Drug Court after pleading guilty in court to prescription forgery. He was ordered to pay $1,684.50 in fines, court costs and fees.

• Summer Jeandron, 33, no address given, was placed in the 9th Circuit Judicial District Drug Court after pleading guilty in court to two counts of sale of a controlled substance. She was ordered to pay $1,369 in court costs and fees.
