Lady Vikes rip St. Al, roll to 5-0

LaShanda Williams had six RBIs on two triples as Warren Central routed St. Aloysius, 16-1, in four innings Thursday.

The Lady Vikes (5-0) took advantage of 10 hits and 14 walks to beat the Lady Flashes (1-3) for the second time this season. After falling behind 1-0, WC batted around in the first two innings to jump up, 13-1.

Marilyn Landers had two hits, including a triple and an RBI, while Shemika Carson went 2-for-2. Hayley Martin picked up the win.

For St. Aloysius, Allison Hearn went 2-for-2, Amy Walker drove in the only run for St. Al, which had five hits.

Vicksburg 8, Hollandale 1

Kelsey Hudson had three hits and a run scored as the Vicksburg Missy Gators upended Hollandale.

Dana Daigre had a double and a triple, while Krystal Lofton had a triple and Kayla Greenlee hit a two-run home run for Vicksburg (4-1).

Amber Landers allowed only three hits and a seventh-inning run.

The Missy Gators scored seven runs in the second and added one in the fourth.
