McDANIEL

Ronald Joseph “Ronnie” McDaniel died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000 at Vicksburg Medical Center.

He was 51.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. McDaniel was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He attended St. Aloysius High School and worked as an independent contractor for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie McDaniel of Vicksburg; a daughter, Kim Phillips of Daphne, Ala.; a stepson, Kandy Sandiford of Vicksburg; his father, Robert McDaniel Jr. of Vicksburg; one brother, Billy McDaniel of Vicksburg; one sister, Marjorie McDaniel of Minneapolis, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Green Acres Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Robert McDaniel, Ronnie McDaniel, David Mayhall, Tommy Minton, Robert McCullough and Kandy Sandiford.

BENNIE J. PARROTT SR.

Services for Bennie J. Parrott Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holly Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Robert L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Parrott died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at St. John’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.

He was 87.

He was a retired maintenance man with the YMCA. He was a member of Holly Grove M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mae Hicks Parrott; his mother, Annie Reynolds Burley; and his father, Amos Parrott.

Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Anita P. George of Starkville; three sons, Billy J. Parrott of Hasting-on-Hudson, N.Y., Bennie J. Parrott Jr. of Chicago and Robert H. Parrott of League City, Texas; a brother, Willis Parrott of Port Gibson; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

LEROY PEACHES JR.

Leroy Peaches Jr. died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at ParkView Regional Medical Center.

He was 67.

Mr. Peaches retired as a cab driver for Veteran’s Cab Co. He was a member of Holly Grove M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Peaches Sr. and Lillie Peaches; his wife, Christine Peaches; three brothers, Clifton Peaches, Milton Peaches and Joe Lewis Peaches; a sister, Margaret Peaches; and two grandchildren, Fredrick Freeman and Joiiya Gleese.

Survivors include his stepmother, Helen Peaches of Greenville; five sons, Clifton Woodhouse, Rodrick Gleese, Matthew O’Neal and Justin Wynn, all of Vicksburg, and Leroy Peaches III of Dallas; seven daughters, Patricia Freeman, Tracey Cooksey, Marcey Gleese, Angela Wynn and LaTangie Peaches, all of Vicksburg, Anna Johnson of Jackson and Della Caples of Dallas; eight brothers, John Peaches and Kevin Peaches, both of California, Kenneth Peaches of Germany, Jimmy Peaches of Oklahoma and Charles Peaches, Abraham Peaches, Michael Peaches and Windell Torey, all of Greenville; six sisters, Linda Peaches, Geraldine Peaches, Lisa Peaches, Sandra Peaches, Toni Peaches and Angela Torey Payne, all of Greenville; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

THOMAS TRICHELL

TALLULAH Thomas Trichell died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson.

He was 67.

Mr. Trichell had lived in Madison Parish for 50 years. He worked as a carpenter after retiring as maintenance supervisor for the Madison Parish School Board. He was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Delia Thigpen Trichell of Tallulah; three sons, William Thomas “Tommy” Trichell and John Calvin Trichell, both of Tallulah, and James DeWayne Trichell of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Brenda Trichell Hayes of Vicksburg; four sisters, Ruby McDaniel and Ora Mae McNeese, both of Monroe, Hazel Bedenbender of Oak Grove and Allie Mae McDonnell of Farmington Hills, Mich.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Ferre D’Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with Rosary at 6 p.m.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Tallulah.

LILLIE MAE YOUNG WALKER

CHICAGO Services for Lillie Mae Young Walker were at 11 a.m. today at Progressive Baptist Church in Chicago with Dr. Christopher Alan Bullock, pastor, officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Park Cemetery under the direction of A.R. Leake Funeral Home, 7838 Cottage Grove Ave., in Chicago.

Mrs. Walker died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in Chicago.

She was 85.

Mrs. Walker was born in Bovina and moved to Chicago in 1950. She was a member of Progressive Baptist

Church, where she served on the Mother Board and was a member of the Starlite Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Young and Elizabeth Benard Young.

She is survived by her husband, Nep Walker Sr. of Chicago; two daughters, Evangelist Irma L. Walker and Evangelist Annie Marie Noble, both of Chicago; two sons, Michael Young and Nep Walker Jr., both of Chicago; one brother, Clarence B. Young of Vicksburg; one sister, Aslean Ware of Muskegon, Mich.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives, including Bernice Ross of Chicago and the Leroy Gibson family of Los Angeles.
