Palmer, Buchanan and McCroy were arrested hours after the morning robbery attempt at the Mutual branch at Waterways Experiment Station. Ross was arrested the next day.

All four face a sentence of up to 20 years if convicted.

Buchanan and McCroy remain in the Madison County Detention center, while Ross and Palmer were released on bond.

On the morning of the attempted robbery, Mutual tellers told police four men showed up 30 minutes before the bank’s 9 a.m. opening time, and the tellers noticed one of the men pull a ski mask over his face. Police were then called.
