tailspin prompts changes

Vicksburg High coach Josh Harper is making “big changes” after the Missy Gators’ ninth straight loss, a 15-10 setback to Natchez on Thursday.

The Missy Gators (14-12) were up 6-2 at one point, but had two “game-losing errors” in the last inning, Harper said. Krystal Lofton doubled, Kassidy Dollar tripled and seventh-grade first baseman/designated hitter Lauren Johnson was “outstanding,” going 7-for-7 in the varsity and JV game.

“I’ve been very patient too patient,” Harper said. “If we win in the playoffs, the young girls will take us there.”
