FAYETTE Katie Bell Bingham Ellis died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at her home in Chicago. She was 67.

Ellis was a native of Red Lick and a former Vicksburg resident.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Bingham Sr.; her mother, Margaret Walker Bingham; two brothers, Jake Bingham and Isaac Bingham; and two sisters, Eddie Lee Bingham Teat and Sarah Bingham.

Ellis is survived by her caretaker, L.C. Taylor of Chicago; three sisters, Louanna Bingham Wells and Laura Bingham, both of Jackson, and Rosie Lee Bingham Gibson of Vicksburg; and three brothers, James Bingham of Red Lick, Ed Bingham Jr. of St. Paul, Minn., and Patrick Bingham Sr. of Vicksburg.

Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette has charge of arrangements.

ZELMA LEE ROME-NEAL

MINNEAPOLIS Zelma Lee Rome-Neal died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Minneapolis. She was 67.

Rome-Neal was a longtime resident of Vicksburg.

She is survived by her husband, Mid Mack Neal of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; two daughters, Katina D. Neal and Virgie M. Smith, both of Minneapolis; six sons, Rufus V. Neal, Lin Andrew Neal and Gregory Neal, all of Minneapolis, Alvin B. Neal and Roy E. Neal, both of St. Louis, and Jimmie Mack Neal of Mt. Vernon; five sisters, Margaret Evans, Clementine Wilson and Joy Davis, all of Vicksburg, and Alberta Craft and Betty Felker of Chicago; two brothers, Berlin Wilson of Minneapolis and Eddie Wilson of Las Vegas; one great-uncle, Johnny Woods of Chicago; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Robbins Funeral Home of Vicksburg has charge of arrangements.

GEORGE TUCKER SR.

George Tucker Sr. died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 50.

Tucker was an employee of APAC Mississippi Inc., and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Penny Tucker, and one brother, Marshall Johnson.

Tucker is survived by his wife, Annie Turner Tucker of Vicksburg; four sons, George Tucker Jr., Edward Mitchell and Edwin Mitchell, all of Vicksburg, and Christopher Tucker of Port Gibson; two stepsons, Charles Turner Jr. and Christopher Thomas, both of Vicksburg; and two daughters, Rosie Michelle Tucker and Tiffany Turner, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Authur Mae Johnson Tucker of Rolling Fork; five brothers, Archie Tucker, Willie E. Williams, Eugene Johnson and Earnest Johnson, all of Rolling Fork, and Eddie Tucker of Vallejo, Calif.; four sisters, Barbara Meeks and Alie Miles, both of Jackson, Linda Brown of Vicksburg, and Mary Ann Gibson of Van Nuys, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
