DORIS MAY

Services for Doris May were at 2 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. May died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 74.

Born in Cleveland, she had lived in Vicksburg for 50 years. She worked at Noble’s Cleaners and People’s Drug Store and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann May.

She is survived by her husband, Benny May of Vicksburg; one son, Frank May of Vicksburg; and two sisters, Virginia Neal of Vicksburg and Katherine Livingston of El Centro, Calif.

Pallbearers were Ed Adcock, Joe Battalio, Michael Nassour, James May, Richard Tucker and Randy Stagg.

Honorary pallbearers were the staff of People’s Drug Store.

RICHARD ROACH

Richard “Cowboy” Roach died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 77.

Born in Holcomb, Mr. Roach had lived in Vicksburg for 24 years. He was an Army veteran who served during World War II. He was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Brown of Vicksburg and Patricia Graham of Goldsboro, N.C.; a son, David W. Roach of Vicksburg; a sister, Jewel Grey of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and other relatives, including Mac Brown of Vicksburg and Bill Graham of Goldsboro, N.C.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Foster, Troy Jones, Jay Potter, Mac Brown, Bill Graham and Billy Graham.
