JANICE KENT

NETTLETON Janice Underhill Kent died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. She was 43.

Mrs. Kent was born in Jackson, where she graduated from the Education Center and later attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She had lived in Nettleton since 1990 and was a member of Nettleton United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Kent; her father, Jeff Underhill; her grandparents, George and Lavelle Powell Harris Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Underhill Sr.; and an uncle, George E. Harris Jr.

She is survived by two children, Jimmie Ann Kent of Starkville and Jeffrey Kent of Nettleton; her mother, Martha Harris Underhill of Nettleton; a sister, Georgia Grodowitz of Vicksburg; and other relatives including Mike Grodowitz, Chara Grodowitz and Nathan Grodowitz, all of Vicksburg.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home in Verona with the Rev. Aubrey Boren officiating. Burial was at Plantersville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Thomas E. Prentice, Thomas E. Prentice Jr., Steven Prentice, Mark Boren, Charles Pannell and Jonathan Williams.
