ANDERSON CLARK

LORMAN Anderson Clark died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Natchez Community Hospital. He was 64.

Mr. Clark was a member of Lorman Christian Church.

He is survived by a brother, Henry P. Clark of Lorman; a sister, Juanita Whitney of Vicksburg; a great-niece, Dionn R. Davis of Lorman; and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery in Lorman under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

LILLIE BELL EVANS

HERMANVILLE Lillie Bell Evans died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 52.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her father, Robert Nettles; a daughter, Cleopatra Evans; a brother, Frank Washington; an aunt and two uncles.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Evans of Hermanville; six sons, Sylvester Hicks of Atlanta; Ernest Evans Jr., Tyrone Evans, Randy Evans, Michael Evans and Antonio Evans, all of Hermanville; five daughters, Helen Evans, Angelia Evans, Annette Evans, Emma Evans and Roshanda Evans, all of Hermanville; four brothers, Robert Hicks, Steve Hicks, Jessie Hicks and Noble Hicks, all of Hermanville; three sisters, Georgia Neal and Sarah Hicks, both of Hermanville, and Alice Hicks of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Hermanville with the Rev. Johnnie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Hermanville under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 1 until the service Saturday at the church.

MARGARET ANN HAGE

NEWELLTON Margaret Ann Hage died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at her home. She was 90.

Born in Eaton, Colo., Mrs. Hage was a retired church secretary and a member of Union Church in Newellton.

She is survived by a son, David C. Hage of Newellton; a sister, Lucille Hendrickson of Greeley, Colo.; and a granddaughter, Susan Hage of Newellton.

Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at Newellton Union Church with the Rev. Clyde Webber officiating. Burial will be Saturday in Eaton, Colo.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Kifer, Larry May, Alan Doyle, Frank R. Burnside Jr., Rock Foster and Paul Freeman.

JESSIE LEON LEWIS

HOLLY BLUFF Jessie Leon Lewis died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 82.

Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Lewis was a retired mechanic. He was a member of Holly Bluff Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lewis.

Survivors include a daughter, Jymmie Bond of Yazoo City; a son, John H. Lewis of Yazoo City; two sisters, Carmen Pierce and Ethel Sanders, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, Gordon Lewis of Vicksburg and James Lewis of New Caney, Texas; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Revs. Andy May and David Bryant officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark Conger, Robert Pierce, Val Neel, Howard Lewis, Joey Francis and Jimmy Dale Lewis.
