Delta blues artist Johnnie Billington finds talent in the audience as amateur LaQuinta Williams, 11, wows the crowd as she sings the “School Blues” at a concert in the Southern Cultural Heritage Complex Thursday. The concert by Billington and his band, the Midnighters, was part of the River Kids After School Arts Program, which is each Thursday. Billington shares his knowledge of blues with many children around the state as a master artist in the Delta Blues Education Programs based in Clarksdale.
