[01/12/01] St. Aloysius’ division showdown at Madison-St. Joe was postponed Thursday because the Bruins’ field “was under water,” Flashes coach Shirley Agostinelli said.

The Flashes (8-1) will be at St. Joe on Tuesday for the crucial division match. The Bruins have helped keep St. Al out of the playoffs the last three years. The Flashes have won eight in a row.

The Warren Central Vikings’ game with defending state champion Northwest Rankin was also postponed Thursday.

School district athletic director Lummy Wright said the non-division game would be rescheduled, if possible. No date has been set.
