JOHN O’NEAL SANDERS

ARLINGTON, Texas John O’Neal “Neal” Sanders died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, in Arlington, Texas. He was 58.

A native of Vicksburg, Mr. Sanders was an engineer with Bell Helicopter. He graduated from Mississippi State University. He was a member and Promise Keeper at Shady Grove Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Sanders of Arlington; a daughter, Tracye Sanders Heldt of Arlington; his mother, Sybil Sanders of Vicksburg; a brother, Marshall Sanders of Clarksdale; and a granddaughter, Mikayla Heldt of Arlington.

Services were at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial followed at Moore Memorial Gardens.

NEIL C. WEBB

FORT SMITH, Ark. Neil C. Webb died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, in Cleveland, Miss. He was 20.

Mr. Webb was a resident of Fort Smith, Ark., and a student at Delta State University in Cleveland. He was a 1999 graduate of Southside High School, where he was a two-year basketball letterman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.

Survivors include his parents, Tom and Susan Webb of Fort Smith; a brother, Joel C. Webb of Fort Smith; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Smith of Hattiesburg; his maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Dorothy Horn of Vicksburg; two nephews; and other relatives, including Jim Horn of Port Gibson.

Services were at noon Monday at First United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers were Jason Hawkins, Andrew Filyaw, Russell Manning, Reagan Hayward, Matthew Mock and John Torres.

NICK WILLIAMS

Services for Nick “Sick Boy” Williams will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem M.B. Church with the Rev. Clifton C. Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.

Mr. Williams died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. He was 87.

Mr. Williams was a native of Yazoo County and lived most of his life in Vicksburg. He was a farmer and construction worker. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Williams; and a daughter, Inez Jones.

He is survived by four sons, W.T. Williams of Vicksburg, and Lemonia Williams, Nick Williams Jr. and Leo Williams, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; six daughters, Claudette Haggard and Geraldine Williams, both of Vicksburg, Everjean Jackson and Ershaline Hodges, both of Columbus, Ga., and Shirley Williams and Catherine Barnes, both of Milwaukee; a brother, Wilson Williams of St. Louis, Mo.; 46 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including his caregiver, Alberta Wheeler.
