Qualls, a Redwood Elemntary student, was one of 266 Special Olympians from Warren, Claiborne and Yazoo counties to work on developmental skills in basketball. The event concludes Friday with secondary, high school and adult player and team competitons. Three teams will go to the state Special Olympics at Jackson in March, Area 10 director Nancy Biggers said. Smith is a swimmer for the Vikings and Mace is on Warren Central’s basketball team.
