Truck driver Kerean J. Bates of Tallulah hands Vicksburg Patrolman Malcomb Lilly paperwork after Bates’ truck, which was carrying heavy equipment, flipped onto its side on the westbound Clay Street on-ramp of Interstate 20. The accident occurred at 4:53 a.m., Lt. David Beard of the Vicksburg Police Department said, after the 18-wheeler’s load shifted while making the curve.
