MARY HOPKINS
Services for Mary Hopkins were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Temple M.B. Church with the Rev. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Hopkins died Monday, Jan. 26, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 64.
She was a retired cashier for Jitney Jungle and a member of Jackson Street M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt Sias and Eva Collins Green; and her husband, Joseph D. Hopkins.
She is survived by a daughter, Eva Hopkins of Jackson; five brothers, Melvin D. Sias of Mayersville, Roosevelt Sias Jr. of Florence, Gene W. Sias of Rosedale, Roy B. Sias of Rolling Fork and Andr D. Sias of Carthage; six sisters, Liz Sias Shannon of Louisville, Ky., Thelma Sias Adams of Milwaukee, Wis., Jackie Sias of Rolling Fork and Gail Sias and Cheryl Sias, both of Cleveland, and Joey J. Sias of Mayersville; and other relatives, including Hattie Ann Brown and Terry Slaughter, both of Vicksburg, Laura Fields and Roberta Cheers, both of Chicago, and Lutisha Ballard of Little Rock.
