MANDY POLLARD WALLACE

EDWARDS Mandy Pollard Wallace died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at her home in Jackson. She was 66.

Mrs. Wallace attended Edwards Elementary School and Utica High School. She graduated from Utica College. She was a member of Cherry Grove M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pollard.

She is survived by two sons, Willie Wallace Jr. of Milwaukee, Wis., and Larry Wallace of Chicago; five daughters, Mary Drumgoole and Vickie Goodman, both of Chicago, and Marsha Wilson, Renee Wallace and Deserel Drumgoole, all of Jackson; her mother, Polly Julia Pollard of Edwards; five brothers, Leonard Thomas of Jackson, Alfred Pollard Jr. and Clifton Pollard, both of Chicago, and Sam Pollard and Jimmie Lee Mooris, both of Edwards; six sisters, Carrie Lee Pollard of Jackson, Lois Perry of Chicago, Gladys Reed of Bolton and Loretta Noel, Mary Lee Pollard and Ruby Lee Pollard, all of Edwards; 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and other relatives.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Cherry Grove M.B. Church on Edwards. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 Friday night at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.

ALLIE WHITE

HERMANVILLE Allie White died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Claiborne County Nursing Home in Port Gibson. She was 97.

Mrs. White was a member and mother of Montro Grove Baptist Church. She was also a member of Silver Star No. 3, Heroine of Jericho Court No. 8, Christian Aid, Baptist Aid and the Benevolent Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie White Sr.; a daughter, Johnnie R. Smith; two sons, Eugene White and Robert White; six grandchildren, three brothers and a sister.

She is survived by five sons, Cleo White of Detroit, Charlie White Jr. and Alonzo White, both of Houston, Texas, Jimmy White of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Johnny White of Hermanville; three daughters, Myrtle T. Walker, Alice Walker and Willie A. Burrell, all of Hermanville; a sister, Lizzie McClure of Port Gibson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Montro Grove Baptist Church in Hermanville with the Rev. Frank Curtis Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the service Sunday at the church.

JAMES ALLEN WILLIAMS

James Allen Williams died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 39.

He was a member of Travelers Rest M.B. Church.

He is survived by a son, Alandrian Williams of Vicksburg; his mother, Evelyn Williams Jackson of Vicksburg; a brother, Terry L. Williams of Vicksburg; a sister, Angela M. Jackson of Vicksburg; his fiance, Tommie Robinson of Vicksburg; his maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Durrell of Vicksburg; nieces; nephews; and other relatives, including Elmer Durrell Jr., George Durrell and Patricia Durrell Hunt, all of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

LEWIS WILSON

WILMINGTON, Del. Lewis Wilson, formerly of Vicksburg, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at his home in Wilmington, Del. He was 66.

Mr. Wilson attended the Vicksburg Warren Public Schools. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the Army. He worked for Chrysler Corporation in Detroit for a number of years before transferring to Wilmington, where he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene Wilson and James Wilson Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Wilson of Wilmington; two daughters, Lois Reed and Leisa Reed, both of Wilmington; two sisters, Gladys Williams of Detroit and Mamie Wilson of Aurora, Ill.; three brothers, James Wilson Jr., Albert Wilson Sr. and John Wilson, all of Vicksburg; nieces; nephews; cousins and other relatives, including Earl Wilson, Rosetta London and Virginia Hill.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Mount Joy Baptist Church, 455 Townsend St., in Wilmington. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Congo Funeral Home of Wilmington has charge of arrangements.
