ANDY L. HORTON

Andy L. Horton died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at his home. He was 63.

Mr. Horton was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago. He was a veteran of the Army.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Christine Horton of Broadview, Ill.; one daughter, Eltrina Horton of Broadview; two brothers, Arthur Horton of Chicago and Charles Horton of Edwards; three sisters, JoAnna Eatmon of Chicago, Thelma McGregor of Edwards and Annie Allen of Vicksburg; one grandson; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

DUDLEY L. KEEN SR.

Dudley L. “Dud” Keen Sr. died Monday, March 19, 2001, at his home. He was 86.

A lifelong resident of the Redwood community, Mr. Keen was the son of the late James Usher and Essie Elizabeth Roberts Keen. He was a 1932 graduate of Redwood High School. He was a corporal in the Army during World War II in the 103rd Division of the Battalion 410th Infantry. He was co-founder of the Peace in the Valley Hunting Club and owner and operator of Dogwood Saw Mill Co. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dudley L. Keen Jr.; three brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, June Wilson Keen of Vicksburg; three sons, Frank Wilson Keen of Satartia, Tony Karl Keen of Vicksburg and Steven P. “Rusty” Keen of Amory; two brothers, James A. “Jake” Keen of Redwood and Hilton Keen of Hot Springs, Ark.; a sister, Jewell “Betty” Hill of Meadville; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Revs. James Twiner and Carl Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jim Keen, Keith Keen, David Keen, Sonny Keen, Ricky Hill, Barney Hill, Mike Wilson and Johnny Griffin.

ELLA MAI TANNER

Ella Mai Tanner died Monday, March 19, 2001, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 93.

Mrs. Tanner was a Utica native and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 60 years. She was retired from the Warren County Health Department and was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Tanner Sr., and her son, Lloyd Tanner Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Annette Millett of Boca Raton, Fla.; a grandson, Todd Millett of Boca Raton; and a granddaughter, Ginger Re of Boca Raton.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be O.W. Mendrop, David Baldwin, Fred Baldwin, Dennis Chipley and Gene Allen.

Honorary pallbearer will be J.P. White.
