CURTIS LEE DENT JR.
Curtis Lee Dent Jr. died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 69.
Mr. Dent was a retired employee of Waterways Experiment Station and an employee of Baker Security as a security guard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213.
He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis L. Dent Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Abbie M. Davis Dent of Vicksburg; his mother, Ceola Caston Dent Ward of Bolton; three sons, Glen D. Dent, Larry J. Dent and Stanley E. Dent, all of Vicksburg; five daughters, Carolyn R. Dent, Barbara Ann Judge, Beverly G. Scott and Joyce Dent, all of Vicksburg, and Audrey C. Smith of Fort Knox, Ky.; a brother, Alonzo Caston of Bolton; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and other relatives.

JOHNNIE HENDERSON SR.
Services for Johnnie Henderson Sr. will be at noon Friday at Cool Springs M.B. Church with the Rev. Byron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the service at the church.
Mr. Henderson died Friday, March 23, 2001, at his home. He was 92.
Mr. Henderson was a retired employee of Houston Brothers Mill. He was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church and the Cool Springs Burial Society.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Bishop; his father, John Henderson; and a granddaughter, Diva Rena Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Oreather Gillum Henderson of Vicksburg; three sons, Johnnie Henderson Jr., Eddie Henderson and David Henderson, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Shirley Thornton of Vicksburg and Thelma Henderson and Oreather Claven, both of Stone Mountain, Ga.; grandchildren and other relatives.

WILLIAM ARTHUR HOWARD MARSHALL JR.
William Arthur “Rashad” Howard Marshall Jr. died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 55.
A retired postal worker, Mr. Marshall was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213 and the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Marshall Sr. and Thelma Marshall; and two sisters, Jewell Marshall and Barbara M. Wince.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Brown Marshall; two sons, William Marshall III of Vicksburg and Gregory Williams; two daughters, Heather Marshall and Meghan Marshall, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Helen Pilate and Marilyn Patterson, both of Vicksburg; six grandchildren and other relatives.

MARIANNE ALLISON McLAUGHLIN
Marianne Allison McLaughlin died June 11, 1998, in Baton Rouge. She was 39.
Ms. McLaughlin was born in Berchtesgarten, Germany. She was adopted and brought to Vicksburg at 5 months. She lived in Vicksburg until 1979 and had been a resident of Baton Rouge for 19 years.
Mrs. McLaughlin graduated from St. Aloysius High School and was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. She had managed Louisiana Orthodontist Specialist for six years.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. James Wayne Allison Jr.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles Anthony Cefalu and Mary Giordano Cefalu; and her paternal grandparents, James Wayne Allison Sr. and Maude Comfort Ezelle.
Survivors include two sons, Trey McLaughlin of Tokyo and John Daniel McLaughlin of Monroe; her mother, Rose Cefalu Allison of Vicksburg; a brother, Jimmy Allison of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Kathy Allison of Clinton, Susan Allison Solis of Fort Worth, Texas, and Cindy Allison Bell of Vicksburg; four nephews and a niece.
