National historic landmark dedicated

Dr. Mark Barnes, senior archaeologist with the National Park Service, gives the plaque dedication commmemorating Fort St. Pierre as a National Historic Landmark during ceremonies on the lawn of the Old Court House Museum Saturday. The fort was located just north of Redwood on the east bank of the Yazoo River nearly 300 years ago. The actual fort site is owned by Dr. and Mrs. Raymond Baker of Natchez.
