[04/23/01] A Utica man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle wreck on Fisher Ferry Road while returning home from Riverfest in Vicksburg.

Stephen A. Hubbard, 19, of Utica was pronounced dead at the scene by Warren County Coroner John Thomason after the 1985 Toyota pickup he was driving hit a bridge embankment on Fisher Ferry Road about 12 miles south of Vicksburg. Thomason said that alcohol was not suspected in the wreck, but had not been ruled out.

Hubbard was southbound on Fisher Ferry Road around 1 a.m., when the pickup he was driving ran off the road and struck the bridge. He died from internal injuries, Thomason said.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the Utica Baptist Church.
