MAYME EDWARDS O’SHEA
TALLULAH Mayme Edwards O’Shea died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at University Hospital in Huntersville, N.C. She was 89.
Mrs. O’Shea was born in Blytheville, Ark. and lived in Tallulah most of her life. She was a retired office manager of Federal Compress in Tallulah. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tallulah for more than 55 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bernard O’Shea.
She is survived by a son, John E. O’Shea of Huntersville, N.C.; four grandchildren, John E. O’Shea Jr. and Mike O’Shea, both of Houston, Texas, Mary Marks of Cornelius, N.C., Lisa Nolan of Plymouth, Mich.; and other relatives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Revs. Ferre D’Cruz and Fred Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home.

HAZEL L. THOMPSON
EDWARDS Hazel L. Thompson died Monday, April 23, 2001, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. She was 44.
A retired mill worker, Ms. Thompson was a native of Edwards. She attended Edwards Public Schools and completed high school at Hinds A.H.S. in Utica. She was a member of Friendship M.B. Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Joycelyn Mitchell and Joyalyn S. Thompson, both of Edwards; her mother, Joyce M. Brewe of Forest; her father, J.W. Williams of Vicksburg; five brothers, Johnny Mack Jr. and Herman Ray Mack, both of Edwards, Earl Lee Mack of West Memphis, Ark., Charles Thompson of Chicago and L.J. Thompson of Crystal Springs.; a foster brother, Dave Bracey of Edwards; and other relatives.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Edwards under the direction of Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.
Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from noon until the service Saturday at the church.
FLOYD WALKER
Floyd “Bud” Walker died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 70.
Mr. Walker was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served as a sergeant in the Air Force. He was a graduate of Carr Central High School. He was a retired driller for ODECO Offshore Drilling Co. where he worked on the Ocean King Drilling Rig. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Ameen Walker of Vicksburg; three sons, Hoyt “Bobby” Hogan, Daniel Hogan and Mike Walker, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Charlotte Stinson and Virginia “Tina” Foley, both of Vicksburg; three brothers, Neal Walker Jr. of Donaldsonville, La., Dr. Gene Walker of Vicksburg and Paul Walker of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Pauline Renfrow of Vicksburg; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Walker, Clyde “C.B.” Stinson, Robert Foley Jr., Robert Foley III, Jody Ray, Ray Dickerson, Scott Grimme and M.L. Knight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Haven “Red” Bruce, Calvin Walker, J.T. Jemerson, Larry Ashley, William Thigpen, Milton Blair, Kirk Harper, Kenneth Walker, Ricky Trim and Dr. Daniel Edney.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
