Services for Aynsley Carol Guest were at 2 p.m. Friday at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Spence officiating under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Aynsley, the infant daughter of Sid and Jonalyn Wallace Guest of Vicksburg, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Frank Guest.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, Sidney Guest II, Kristopher Guest and Joseph Guest, all of Greenville, and Tyler Dement of Vicksburg; two sisters, Brooke Guest and Madisyn Guest, both of Vicksburg; her paternal grandmother, Carrie Guest of Vicksburg; her maternal grandparents, John Wallace and Carline Wallace, both of Vicksburg, and Adalyn and Harry Hinton of Petal; and her maternal great-grandmother, Grace Koen of Hattiesburg.

IRMA J. JOHNSON

EDWARDS Irma J. Johnson died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at University Medical Center. She was 31.

Ms. Johnson attended school at the Edwards Attendance Center and Hinds A.H.S. in Utica. She was a member of Friendship M.B. Church and Morning Star M.B. Church.

She is survived by two sons, Adrian Johnson and Dewayne Johnson, both of Edwards; two daughters, Ashley Johnson and Amber Johnson, both of Edwards; her mother, Zettie Mae Johnson of Edwards; her father, Willie Albert Johnson of Jackson; three sisters, Sheila Strong and April Johnson, both of Edwards, and Jasmine Johnson of Jackson; and other relatives including Tokela Allen of Edwards.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Church Cemetery in Edwards under the direction of Lakeover Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Jackson.

LILLIAN FOSTER SCHLOSSER

Lillian Foster Schlosser died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 81.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Schlosser was the daughter of the late Homer H. and Sadie Mason Foster. She was a graduate of All Saints’ College and attended Millsaps College. She taught in the Oak Ridge School System. She was a former member of Lane Garden Club and the Needlework Guild and president of the Fourth District Dental Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank J. Schlosser; a sister, Martha Patton; and two brothers, Homer Foster Jr. and Roy M. Foster.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Schlosser Jr. of New Iberia, La., Michael F. Schlosser of New Orleans and John M. Schlosser of Vicksburg; a sister, Betty Evans of Leland; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Aguh officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Preston Patton, Will Jones, Peter Hanks, Foster Schlosser, John Moore, Harry “Sonny” Evans, Joey Schlosser, Brian DeRossette, Stephen Foster, Richard Hanks and Todd Schlosser.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Shell, Henry Rings, Michael Koestler, Thomas Hughes, Per Backman, Dr. Ed Evans, Robert Koestler, Albert Dornbusch, Dr. Thomas Sligh, William Raworth, Bobby Evans, Oliver Stone and Dr. Murray Whitaker.

JOHN H. STEGALL

John H. “Dad” Stegall died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 75.

Mr. Stegall was born in Hazlehurst and had lived in Vicksburg for 40 years. He was a retired welder for Marathon-LeTourneau. He was a veteran of the Navy, having served during World War II as a radio operator. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rita C. Stegall of Vicksburg; a son, George E. Stegall of Vicksburg; a daughter, Mary S. Buckley of Vicksburg; three brothers, W. Grady Stegall of Hazlehurst, Harold Stegall of Bude and Bobby Stegall of Terry; a sister, Frances Goza of Hazlehurst; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. James O’Riordan officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Harris, Milton Twiner, Bill Downey, Louis Mullins, Dennis “Bubba” Daigre and Johnny Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pooler Thigpen, Elvin Key, W.D. Boykin, Paul Moore, Jerry Little, Leon Gentry, Ernest Myers, Randy Lewis and Dr. Paul Pierce.

ELIZABETH THOMAS

Services for Elizabeth Thomas will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Miss Thomas died Monday, May 7, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 20.

She was a lifelong resident of the Eagle Lake Community and was a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charlie Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas, and her maternal grandmother, Irene Nelson Henderson.

She is survived by two daughters, Nakeita Hampton and Denise Hampton, both of Eagle Lake; her father, Charles Nelson of Eagle Lake; her mother, Annette Thomas of Eagle Lake; three brothers, Michael Thomas, Robert Thomas and Charles Johnson, all of Vicksburg; eight sisters, Debra Thomas, Tiffany Thomas, LaTora Thomas, Keisha Clark, Minnie Johnson, Carolyn Nelson and Jackie Johnson, all of Vicksburg, and LaShaundra Gregory of Milwaukee, Wis.; one aunt, two uncles and other relatives including David Johnson, Lottie Mae Bailey and Robert Bailey, all of Eagle Lake, and the Woodland, Wesley, Bell, Jones, Jackson and Jefferson families.

DOYLE H. WESTER

DARDANELLE, Ark. Doyle H. Wester died Wednesday, May 9, 2001, in Danville, Ark. He was 63.

Mr. Wester is survived by two sons, Ken Wester of Dardanelle, Ark., and Randy Wester of Vicksburg; two daughters, Tere White of Vicksburg and Sherry Lynn Fowler of Fayetteville, N.C.; five sisters, Effie Frasier and Charlene Moore, both of Vicksburg, Lillian Chitwood of Florida, Judy Ray of Green Bay, Wis., and Lillie Boutwell of Alexandria, Va.; and other relatives.

Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Dardanelle Funeral Home in Dardanelle, Ark., and will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery in Vicksburg.
