Marie Hernandez, left, and Linda Christian, members of the Vicksburg Lions Club, received awards at the Lion International District Convention in Natchez. Hernandez received the International President’s Award for her service to the association and the District Governor’s Award for her service to the district. Christian, secretary of the Vicksburg Lions Club, received the medal for being a 100 Percent Secretary. Also honored was Bob Beasley, who received a special award for service to the district governor on the Lions Hearing Impaired Committee. He was also elected to the board of the committee.
