JAMES EUGENE GREER

James Eugene Greer died Friday, May 11, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 87.

Mr. Greer was a native of Carlisle and a resident of Rocky Springs for most of his life. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Claiborne County and a cattleman.

Mr. Greer was a member of the Rocky Springs Methodist Church.

Mr. Greer was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Greer.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Laurie Greer of Utica; a son, Robert Wayne Greer of Vicksburg; a brother, Cecil Greer of Carlisle; two sisters, Alice Graham of Jackson and Myrtie Brown of Port Gibson; a daughter-in-law, Linda Greer; and two grandchildren.

Services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Sam Dunaway and Donnie Cain officiating.

Burial followed in the Utica Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Boyd, Mark Greer, Russell Greer, William Greer, Mike Greer, Everett Greer, Ronnie Brown and Clyde Strong.

SADIE LEE HARRIS

Sadie Lee Harris died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 43.

Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Harris of Shelby, Miss.; her parents, Ruthie Lee Britton of Shelby and Alfred Britton Sr. of Detroit; a son, Timothy Britton of Milwaukee; six daughters, Roselyn Britton, Adriane Harris and Pamela Bates, all of Milwaukee, Latrena Britton and Krystal Harris, both of Shelby, and La Kittia Britton of Madison, Wis.; four sisters, Essie Gary of Vicksburg, Ossie Mae Britton of Shelby, Jacqueline Britton of Los Angeles and Roselyn Britton of Sun Prairie, Wis.; four brothers, Edward Britton of Columbus, Ohio, Alfred Britton Jr. of Clarksdale, Glenn Britton of Shelby and Baron Britton of Madison; 18 grandchildren and other relatives.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
