Hattie Marie Sisney Lewis died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Hill Country Nursing Center. He was 63.

A nurse, Mrs. Lewis was a member of New Poplar Grove Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis; a son, Larry Donnell Hargrove; her parents, Jessie “Jack” and Amanda Fields Cessna; two brothers, Jessie Cessna Jr. and Tyree Cessna; and a sister, Annie M. Sisney.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Jointer Moore of Killeen, Texas, and Tracy M. Myers of Ontario, Calif.; five brothers, John H. Cessna of Utica, Melvin Sisney of Inglewood, Calif., James Cessna of Vicksburg, Joe E. Thomas of Chicago and Willie A. Clark of Utica; four sisters, Odia M. Sisney White of Vicksburg, Ruby Nell Lockhart of Killeen, and Minnie L. Jones and Colette Jones, both of New Orleans; four grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at New Poplar Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. James O. Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the service Sunday at the church.

EUNICE GRACE McKAY

Eunice Grace “Baby Grace” McKay died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at University Medical Center. She was 53.

Ms. McKay was a former employee of Grand Gulf Nuclear Project. She was a member of Mount Zion M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Phelps; her mother, Elnora Yates; a brother, Darrell McKay; two sisters, Melanie M. Straughter and Grace Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Terry McKay of Muskegon, Mich., and Larry McKay of Vicksburg; three daughters, Shantell McKay of Decatur, Ga., and LaTonya McKay and Kimberly McKay, both of Vicksburg; her father, Rufus McKay of Carson City, Nev.; her stepmother, Clareatha McKay of Vicksburg; three brothers, Richard Johnson and Dean McKay, both of Vicksburg, and Albert Yates of Buffalo, N.Y.; three sisters, Jackie M. Mims of Baton Rouge, Carolyn Curtis of Vicksburg and Kim McKay of Dallas; eight grandchildren and other relatives including Anthony Coleman of Vicksburg

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

RONNIE ROBINSON

Ronnie Robinson died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in Houston, Texas. He was 42.

A Vicksburg native, Mr. Robinson was an airplane parts machinist. He attended Hinds Agricultural High School, Utica Junior College and Jackson State University.

He worked for Sperry-Vickers in Jackson before moving to Houston, where he was named 1999’s Texas State Bow Hunter Champion. He was a former member of Sandhill M.B. Church in Edwards and Kanios Community Church in Houston.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Martha Jean Richardson; and his father, Jesse Robinson Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Bates-Robinson; two daughters, Tiara Robinson and Ronnisha Robinson, both of Missouri City, Texas; his mother, Linnie B. Robinson of Jackson; three brothers, Jesse Robinson Jr. and Joseph Robinson, both of Jackson, and Eddie Robinson of Edwards; one sister, Sandra Jackson of Jackson; nieces; nephews; friends and other relatives including Wilma Inez Bates and Freddie Bates, both of Liberty, and Eddie Bates of Baton Rouge.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sandhill M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday at Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.

WILLIE MACK WATSON

PORT GIBSON Willie Mack Watson died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. He was 40.

Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Watson.

He is survived by a son, Kendrick Rollins of Port Gibson; a daughter, Akilah C. Odom of Port Gibson; his father, Timothy Watson Sr. of Port Gibson; seven brothers, David Lee Watson, Clinton Watson and Michael Watson, all of Port Gibson, Timothy Watson Jr. of Chicago, Nathaniel Watson and Sylvester Watson, both of Atlanta, and Claude Watson of Tallulah; four sisters, Pauline Washington and Yvonne Watson, both of Port Gibson, Delores Brooks and Rose Mary Knight, both of Dallas; a grandson, Kendarius Truitt of Port Gibson; and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Leon Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at McCay Cemetery in Russum under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.
