JUNETEENTH HERITAGE FESTIVAL Applications for all interested in participating in the festival are available at The Heritage Center, 1414 Washington St., and Shabaka’s, Pemberton Square mall; essay contest for grades 7-12 should be be a one-page essay with cover sheet on “The Importance of Juneteeth Celebrations,” entries should be mailed to P.O. SENIOR CENTER Monday: 1 p.m., basic sewing; 1, “How to finish your chair bottom using Thrush,” with Francis Shaffer; 6-8, social and line dance class; Tuesday: 10-11 a.m., beginner computer; 11-noon, intermediate computer; 1-2 p.m., learn to play the dulcimer; 1, “How to finish your chair bottom using Thrush;” Wednesday: 10 a.m., TRIAD; 10, NIA exercise class; noon, grilled chicken lunch with Don Miller; 1:30 p.m., beginner acrylic art class.
