NAMELAH SHALA STEWART

PORT GIBSON Namelah Shala Stewart died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at her home. She was 24.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her father, Al Ahg Shala; a sister, Lofah Shala; a brother, Altue Ahg Shala; and her son, Ryan Shala.

She is survived by her husband, Myron Stewart Sr. of Port Gibson; a son, Myron Stewart Jr. of Port Gibson; a daughter, Myla Stewart of Port Gibson; her mother, Fatinah Shala of Dallas, Texas; her stepfather, Steve Coleman of Port Gibson; four sisters, Fatimah Walker of Vicksburg, Gelenah Coleman of Dallas, Stephanie Houston of Augusta, Ark., and Shakilla Oliver of Columbus, Ohio; her brother, Javis Hawkins of Port Gibson; her maternal grandparents, Melacca and Wali Allah of Houston, Texas; her paternal great-grandmother, Virgel Brown of Dallas; and other relatives including Ruby Archie, Willie Archie, Donna Stewart and Renee Gusta, all of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and from 1 p.m. until the service Tuesday at the church.
