Towne saves day for WC Seniors

[06/15/01] Chase Towne made the game-saving catch, then the game-winning hit in the 11th inning to lead the Warren Central Seniors to an 8-6 win over Cleveland at Delta State.
Joseph Williams, who missed the high school season with an injury, hit a two-run homer and Jeremy Ferguson had two RBIs.
Towne made a diving catch with two outs and a runner on third in the 10th inning, then smacked a single to right field in the 11th to drive in the go-ahead run.
Andrew Simmons got the start and went five innings, followed by Steven McDevitt and Darryl Harper. Brian Pettway pitched the final inning to get the save.
The WC Juniors lost to Northwest Rankin, 11-4.
