RONALD CLINTON JONES SR.

PORT GIBSON Ronald Clinton Jones Sr. died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at his home. He was 44.

Mr. Jones was employed with Cooper Lighting and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Clinton Jones and Luelle Jones.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald Jones Jr., Carl Jones and Lloyd Jones, all of Port Gibson; a stepdaughter, Lavorn Patterson of Los Angeles; five brothers, Baron Jones and Antonia Jones, both of Fayette, Samuel Jones of Jackson, Curvin Jones of Pascagoula and Kenneth Jones of Lorman; three sisters, Rosie Marie Shaw of Manassas, Va., Essie Jones of Jackson and Patricia Funches of Jackson; two grandchildren and other relatives, including Genetta Marshall of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorman with the Rev. Kemp Burley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and from noon until the service Saturday at the church.

BREE LEE SR.

Bree Lee Sr. died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at his home. He was 87.

A native of Phoenix, Miss., Mr. Lee was the son of the late William J. and Elizabeth Sanders Lee. He was a farmer and retired from the City of Vicksburg after 27 years of service as a heavy-equipment operator. He was also employed with the Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Phoenix.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Ora L. Lee of Vicksburg; two sons, Bree Lee Jr. and Alton Lee, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Ruby Drogue of Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Pullen, pastor of Ridgeway Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Lee Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Henry, James Henry, Allen Jones, Ray Henry, Ricky Tew, Ray Dingler, Doug Hearn, Mike Gettinger and Daniel Droge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Henry, Randy Kincaid, Don Miller, Leon Henry, Leon Coody Jr., John Oakes, Ben Horton and Junior Tew.

BETTY ANNE LUM

PORT GIBSON Betty Anne Lum died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at her home in Port Gibson. She was 65.

Mrs. Lum was a Vicksburg native and lived in Port Gibson since 1996. She was a member of the Port Gibson Garden Club, Friendship Club and a number of other civic clubs and organizations. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson.

She is survived by three sons, Earl Lum of Tennessee and Edwin Lum and Bruce Lum, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Betsy A. Lipscomb of Port Gibson and Becky Hayes of Cincinnati, Ohio; her mother, Pebble Wylie of Port Gibson; one brother, Walter Eugene Wylie of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Keaton, John Segrest Jr., David Doyle, Marvin Hynum, Randy Hynum and Jimmy House.

STANLEY JAMES MARSHALL

PORT GIBSON Stanley James Marshall died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 48.

Mr. Walker is survived by two daughters, Veronica Alexander and Kirsten Alexander, both of Port Gibson; his son, Corey Little of Port Gibson; his mother, Alma Walker of Chicago; five brothers, Kenneth Weston and Jeffrey Weston, both of Chicago, Everett Marshall, Adam Marshall and Tyrone Marshall, all of New Orleans; seven sisters, Valerie Davis of Chicago, Sarah A. Frazier of Denver, Colo., Donna Marshall, Zoe Marshall, Vede Marshall and Annie Marshall, all of New Orleans, and Wendy McCay of Port Gibson; two grandchildren and other relatives, including Archie Prater of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Grove Christian Church in Pattison with Willie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and from 1 p.m. until the service Saturday at the church.
